What happens to my credit score if my house goes into foreclosure?
A foreclosure can remain on your credit report for up to seven years. However, if you sell the property before the foreclosure date, it will not be reported as a foreclosure on your record.

No, the house is still yours until the foreclosure sale date. You still have the option to sell it before that date.
